The FAS recognized Yandex.Taxi as the dominant service in the markets of the vast majority of Russian regions. In this sense, the service may carry out an inspection and take antitrust response measures, the department reported.
The Yandex.Taxi service is recognized as dominant in the Russian market and in most regions of the country. This was reported by TASS with reference to a statement from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia.
Abuse of this provision may become grounds for conducting an antitrust inspection and taking appropriate response measures, the FAS clarified.
RB.RU sent a request to the Yandex.Taxi press service, but at the time of publication did not receive a response.
In recent months, taxi prices in almost all regions of Russia have increased significantly. In September, in some regions they increased by 44% and by the end of 2023 they could grow between 10% and 100% more.
