Approximately 20 companies such as Amazon, Tencent, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and Yandex were included in the scientific study in which companies from Europe, China and Russia were evaluated. Experts used various parameters such as the number of scientific publications and citations, model training and contribution to artificial intelligence algorithms.
According to the research, Google, OpenAI and Meta made the highest contribution to the development of artificial intelligence. Yandex is rated average in terms of the development of artificial intelligence technology. Chinese companies such as Tencent, Baidu and Huawei also received average scores in this area.
Despite the difficulty of measurement, Russia’s contribution in the field of artificial intelligence is considered remarkable. This is an important recognition for domestic developers. But consumers tend to notice the success of smaller companies that offer turnkey AI solutions, even if they are not involved in fundamental research.
