Microsoft has not named a direct replacement for Kotik. His duties will be performed by Microsoft’s president of gaming content, Matt Booty. In addition to Activision Blizzard, Booty will lead Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda

Bobby Kotick has headed Activision since 1991. Under Kotik’s leadership, Activision merged with Vivendi Games; Later the company Activision Blizzard appeared.

Microsoft closed its deal to buy Activision Blizzard in October 2023. It became the largest in the history of the gaming industry and its amount was estimated at $69 billion.
