  • information on the number of days spent outside Russia;
  • copies of documents confirming citizenship or the presence of a residence permit in foreign countries;
  • statements from accounts in a foreign bank;
  • documents confirming currency transactions in foreign accounts.

The request of the Federal Tax Service indicates that the information is collected in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law “On Regulation and Control of Foreign Exchange”, which allows the tax office to carry out inspections on currency compliance by residents and non-residents. legislation, as well as request documents and information related to conducting currency transactions, opening and maintaining accounts.

The Federal Tax Service did not respond to the newspaper’s request.

Experts point out that previously the tax authorities also requested information about the presence of accounts in foreign banks, their extracts and other documents from the taxpayers themselves. However, until recently information about a residence permit in another country or foreign citizenship was not required.
