HBO’s Succession won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. Three actors from the series also received awards: Kieran Culkin for Best Actor in a Drama Series, Matthew Macfadyen for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries and Sarah Snook for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

The HBO series Descendants about the owners of a media empire received a Golden Globe.

Descendants aired from 2018 to 2023 and was created by Jesse Armstrong, who won three Emmy Awards for his work on the series. Descendants is about the Roy family, owners of the largest international media and entertainment conglomerate. The four-season plot revolves around the fight of the head of the family’s children for the right to run the company.

The film “Oppenheimer” was also awarded at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. For it, Christopher Nolan was named best director and the film itself received the title of best dramatic film.

Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Bird won the Best Animated Film category. In the category “Best cinematographic achievement/distribution (more than 100 million gross)” the film “Barbie” won, starring Margot Robbie.
