This week, WhatsApp announced the expansion of visibility options for profiles on the platform. Tested since last year, the innovation will allow users to have more control over the display of information in the “About”, “Last seen” and “Status” sections – additions that should guarantee an extra layer of privacy in conversations.
The change was announced on the official Twitter profile of the messenger, who had the opportunity to explain what was implemented in the update. In short, users will be able to choose which people are allowed to view their information, posts and connection status to the platform. Previously, you could only choose from three predefined options: no restrictions, contacts only, and fully restricted.
