In 2024, up to 20 foreign brands from Turkey, China, Korea and Thailand will be able to enter the Russian market. This was told to RIA Real Estate by Natalia Kermedchieva, head of the department of new brands at the Union of Shopping Centers.

In 2024, up to 20 foreign brands will enter the Russian market

Brands, according to her, are ready to invest in the Russian market, but they need time to get used to the new conditions. Brands are interested in platforms through which they can study the particularities of doing business and demand. Furthermore, the successful importation of a brand takes up to ten years.

Select brands still available: Italy, France, Spain. For example, Spanish store Scalpers has now started a trial of wholesale sales, but could become a stand-alone store this year if there are positive indicators, Kermedchieva added.

Arab brands have problems entering the market due to seasonality and the need to produce and sell winter clothing, something these brands have difficulty with.

33% of Russians expect foreign clothing brands to return to the Russian market. On average, Russians spend up to 30 thousand rubles every quarter on clothing and accessories. At the same time, 55% of Russians in 2023 began to buy clothes from Russian brands more often.
