Yandex’s Masterpiece application, which uses neural networks to generate images and texts, entered the top 3 in the world among applications with generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This was reported in the annual State of Mobile 2024 mobile app market study by Data.ai (formerly App Annie).
The app score is based on the Mobile Performance Score (MPS), an aggregate score based on AI data with a maximum score of 100. It is calculated for apps with generative AI technologies based on the sum of three indicators: acquisition, participation and user. classification.
ChatGPT took first place with an MPS of 99. Second place went to the Character AI app, which received an MPS of 95.
Data.ai analysts calculated that Masterpiece’s MPS was also 95, but Character AI outperformed the Yandex app in two indicators: acquisitions and engagement.
The top five also included Ask AI (94) and Question.AI (93).
According to analysts, the mobile application market in 2023 amounted to $533 billion, the average time a user stays online worldwide is five hours a day.
