The free period for supported devices will end at the end of 2025. However, timing may vary for AI features offered by third-party providers.

The company isn’t announcing any potential costs or whether all features will move to a subscription model. While most of Samsung’s AI suite runs over the cloud, some features like translation and on-device Productive Editing and transcription rely on cloud resources, mostly using Google’s Gemini models.

While users are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Galaxy S24 series to experience the power of AI, the industry is awaiting more details about the subscription model and the impact of these advanced features beyond the initial two-year period.
