Developers who have allowed their apps to be downloaded in the European Union will still face restrictions from Apple.

The company did allow users to download apps from the App Store, The Wall Street Journal reported. However, the company will still test each new program before publishing it and require a commission of supposedly 27% on each purchase.

The company has been working on a new app download system for more than a year. And in recent months, Cupertino residents have held meetings with EU representatives to discuss new rules.

There are no clear details of how the updated App Store will work. However, we will find out in the coming month, as the EU Digital Markets Law comes into force on March 7th.
