Additionally, with the help of SMS bombers, fraudsters check whether the contacts in the database they steal are valid. Most often, the targets of attacks are financial institutions and payment services, but individuals can also be exposed to such mails. For example, attackers tried to obtain microloans from potential victims with the help of bulk SMS sending.
