The AI ​​satellite is called Rongpiao (Xingshidai-18), developed by Chinese company Guoxing Aerospace Technology and designed to test the Synaesthesia Fusion AI algorithm. The satellite “will have remotely integrated platform capabilities for future communications networks.”

Rongpiao was launched from the water at 11:06 a.m. Beijing time near the city of Yangjiang in the southern province of Guangdong.
