Roskomnadzor has published a draft order that changes the operating procedure of information systems through which operators receive data about blocked sites.
The document proposes to cancel the clause that makes it possible to verify the facts of the Prosecutor General’s Office’s demands regarding the need to remove prohibited content. It is necessary to remove the requirements from the registry entry about the blocking initiated by the Prosecutor General’s Office. Also, operators may not publish the reasons for blocking on “stub” pages.
The proposed changes apply only to blocks on instruments of the Prosecutor General’s Office. They do not affect the blocking of court equipment, Roskomnadzor itself or copyright holders.
The draft order is currently at the stage of public discussion. The proposed changes are in many ways similar to what Roskomnadzor put out for public discussion on December 1, 2022. The status of the old document stopped updating after the anti-corruption examination. [Коммерсантъ]
