Users who listen to their interlocutors through headphones will hear words translated into their own language. The interlocutor will hear them in the user’s language through the phone’s speaker. Samsung says this eliminates the need to pass the phone back and forth when communicating in two different languages.

The company is also expanding support for Auracast technology on its phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S24 series. Auracast is a Bluetooth technology that allows users to stream audio from devices such as phones and TVs to an unlimited number of nearby headphones, speakers, and headphones. Previously, Samsung provided this technology only for its smart TVs. With the Galaxy Buds update, users will be able to use Auracast to stream audio from their mobile devices to multiple headphones.

Additionally, Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Buds2 users will be able to enjoy 360 Audio when paired with select Samsung Neo QLED, QLED and OLED TVs. Galaxy Buds2 Pro owners will also be able to use Samsung’s Auto Switch feature to automatically switch between Galaxy tablets, laptops and TVs, as well as their phones when they need to answer a call. These features will be available to Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Buds2 and Buds FE users at the end of February.
