Users discovered that Gemini makes inaccuracies and even outright mistakes when creating faces of people of different nationalities. In response to the “trust crisis,” Google has decided to temporarily stop rendering images of people in its chatbot.

“We are aware that some images created by Gemini may be inaccurate and disturbing,” the company said in a statement.

Google emphasized that the decision to temporarily discontinue the function was made in order to “improve algorithms and increase rendering accuracy.”

It is not yet known exactly when Gemini will resume rendering human images.

It is worth noting that this story not only highlights the enormous potential of AI image generators, but also raises important questions about the ethics and responsibility of using such technologies.
