At the end of 2023, Sberbank made a net profit of 1,508 trillion rubles, as follows from the company’s IFRS reporting. The current result surpassed the pre-crisis record of 2021 by 21%; then the bank received 1.246 billion rubles.

Compared to 2021, earnings per share also increased: from 56.98 rubles to 69.1 rubles. The return on equity (ROE) was 25.3%.

The number of active clients of the bank at the end of 2023 amounted to 108.5 million individuals (an increase of 2.1 million) and 3.2 million companies (an increase of 0.2 million). Over the past year, the credit institution issued loans worth 28.7 trillion rubles, while the total loan portfolio grew by 27% to 39.4 trillion rubles.

The volume of funds raised from private clients reached 22.9 trillion rubles, an increase of 4.4 trillion rubles.

The number of monthly active users (MAU) of Sberbank Online (mobile and desktop versions) was 81.9 million people, the number of daily users (DAU) was 43.7 million.

The number of users of the SberSpasibo loyalty program increased over the year by 11 million to 77.2 million customers. In total, in 2023, customers made more than 200 million purchases and used almost 140 billion bonuses, of which more than 60 billion were used in the fourth quarter.

Sales of Sber smart devices over the past year have multiplied by 2.4, reaching 1.7 million, and since the start of sales, the number of devices sold has amounted to 3 million.

Sber estimated the financial effect of the use of artificial intelligence technologies at 350 billion rubles in 2023, noting that in the last three years this amount exceeds 900 billion rubles.
