Valeria Chekalina is known as the blogger Lerchek. The first criminal case against her was opened on March 7, 2023. The blogger was suspected of tax evasion of 300 million rubles. The case was closed in December 2023.
In November 2023, Valeria and Artem Chekalin were reported to have paid the Federal Tax Service 500 million rubles in taxes and fines. According to the family’s lawyer, the couple has fully paid their debt to the State.
