Chernogolovka has closed a deal to acquire Kraft Heinz’s baby food business in Russia. The buyer was the JSC Aqualive Resource holding, which received production plants in Ivanovo and the Stavropol region.

As follows from the press release, after the agreement Chernogolovka will offer a new brand, the launch of which is planned for this spring.

The baby food plant in Ivanovo became the property of the group. The company is equipped with equipment for the production of all categories of baby purees. The capacity is planned for more than 20 thousand tons of products per year in six lines.

The plant in the Stavropol region (Heinz Georgievsk LLC) produces dairy-free milk powder and porridge. The capacity is designed for 12 thousand tons per year, the plant operates two production lines.

According to the group’s CEO, Natalia Sajnina, the new owner will retain all jobs in both companies. Already this spring, Chernogolovka will launch a new brand on the market. In the next six months, the company will continue to produce products under the Heinz brand, familiar to consumers.

The company will continue to develop its range in the first food categories and will begin the production of children’s snacks. Chernogolovka also plans to launch “an innovative category of ready meals,” Sajnina noted.

In early May, the structure of the head of the board of directors of the Chernogolovka group of companies, Alexey Chetvergov, the company “Principle Healthy Lifestyle”, became the owner of the sports nutrition manufacturer Prime-Craft.
