The Ministry of Digital Development has started to consolidate data on students in the regions into the “My School” system, where passport data and identification information of parents and teachers will be stored. The aim of this system is to create electronic student portfolios and provide uniform services across the country, but there are concerns among experts about possible problems with integration and the risk of data leakage.

As part of this project, Russian regions are required to create “data markets” to collect and process information from regional systems, for example, data from a birth certificate or student passport. This data will be used to share information about students, parents and teachers between systems.

The Ministry of Digital Development claims that a unified data format will make it possible to provide a high level of electronic educational services in all regions. However, data integration and protection pose significant technical and security challenges that will require additional effort and resources.
