The company has officially stated that the MPG 272QPX, a 27-inch beast with 1440p resolution and a 500Hz refresh rate, is a “custom prototype” built specifically for the show.

Although MSI does not rule out the possibility of developing MiniLED monitors in the future, the company is currently unsure whether the MPG 272QPX will go on sale.

  • Manufacturing Difficulty: Making a 500Hz MiniLED monitor can be very difficult.
  • Low demand: It’s unclear how big the market is for 500Hz monitors.
