New software developed at Kuban State Technical University can greatly facilitate the creation of software for older people. This software has a clear interface and does not require complex settings, and also actively interacts with the user. Psychologist Olga Makarova emphasizes that it is important that the computer is easy for the elderly to learn and does not create a feeling of inadequacy.
The program uses artificial intelligence to automatically configure and maintain basic settings depending on the user’s computer literacy level. Additionally, the developers have provided opportunities for hearing-impaired and visually impaired users, making the new operating system accessible to a wide range of user categories. However, in order for the program to be successfully implemented to the masses, security and technical support issues need to be resolved, and this is planned to be done by 2025.
