Test results confirmed that the new engines meet all the requirements of the Artemis program and will provide more affordable and productive engines for deep space exploration. Each Artemis mission is planned to use four RS-25s with two solid rocket boosters that will provide over 4 million kilograms of thrust at launch.
All RS-25 engines are tested at NASA facilities before use on Artemis missions.
