Damages in the case of Telesport group CEO Piotr Makarenko were estimated at 5.7 billion rubles. This was reported to Interfax by the press service of Sberbank.
The credit institution will do everything possible to compensate for the damage previously received by Telesport Group, Sberbank noted.
On April 6, the court sentenced Pyotr Makarenko to house arrest in a major fraud case. Makarenko heads the company Telesport Group, which is the largest sports marketing operator in Russia and, in particular, owns the rights to the 2024 Olympic Games and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
