As reported on the Famiiboards forums, a YouTube user named Naga removed the console’s RAM modules and replaced them with two 4GB modules with higher frequencies. Thus, the RAM capacity of the console has doubled.
Surprisingly, some games benefit from the extra memory, while most others have a 4GB software limit.
With overclocking of individual components, games like Mortal Kombat 1, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and Alien Isolation run significantly better than standard hardware.
The legendary The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may even be released in 4K resolution, although it has performance that is far from playable.
