Moment 5 was first available to Windows Insider testing program participants on February 29, 2024, and then became available as an optional update in March.
All Windows 11 users now need to install it.
Although this update is not as large-scale as the previous ones, it brings some important changes. These include: improved window layout algorithms (Snap Layouts), optimization of the Settings app and expanded accessibility features.
To update, go to Settings -> Windows Update and click Check for Updates. The system will install KB5036893 (build 22631.3447).
It is noteworthy that Moment 5 includes features that were not only available in Windows 11 23H2, but also in the previous 22H2 build. The next major version of the system, Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100), is expected to be released this year.
