A study conducted by Citylink and the GMNG brand showed that the majority of Russians prefer to play games on PC. While almost 60% of survey respondents choose a computer for gaming, only 22% use ultrabooks or office laptops, and 18% use gaming laptops.
More than half of the participants prefer to play on weekends, while the rest prefer to play on weekdays. Many people play games for less than an hour a day, but there are some who spend up to 6 hours playing games. However, only 3% can spare a lot of time for hobbies.
In terms of genres, strategies and shooters turned out to be the most popular. Most play alone, less than a third prefer online games, and only 12% play with friends. Many receive support from loved ones but also face condemnation of their hobbies.
