Among the legends of the attackers at different times are: an offer to participate in a survey, gain access to an adult channel, earn money in the game, try a premium messaging subscription, and gain access to other users’ correspondence.
According to Positive Technologies, new ways to steal accounts have also emerged: faking voice messages using a neural network and fake accounts.
Telegram has become popular not only for personal communication, but also has social network functions, which increases the number of attacks on its users. The company’s experts believe that the increase in the number of frauds correlates with the increase in the number of users.
