A car refrigerator is the right way to keep food and drinks cold on a hot summer day. The spacious Starwind Mainfrost M8 model can be taken on a trip or a picnic. And taking into account the function of working from the network, such a refrigerator can also be used in the country. The Starwind compressor model can not only cool, but also freeze down to minus 20 degrees. Control is carried out not only from the panel, but also through a smartphone application.

The fridge is really big. The internal volume is 45 liters and the power consumption is up to 60 watts. The case is made of impact resistant matte plastic in a practical gray shade and has protective pads on the bottom of the legs.
To carry the cooler, there are two handles on the sides of the box. On the lid there is a stamping – notches for cup holders. On one side there is a screen, on the other below there is a power connector.
The lid latch is wide, snaps securely into place, and opens with little effort. The lid opens on the long side and opens wide.
The package includes a power supply (from 220 V to 14.5 V) and a car cable to connect to the cigarette lighter. The cable is long, it is quite possible to go through the entire cabin to the cigarette lighter socket. The user manual is quite competent, the modes of use are described in detail, links to the application for smartphones are provided.
Basic control is carried out directly from the controller screen. When powered on, a full symbol test is performed, then the target temperature can be set. In addition, there is a display of the current temperature inside the refrigerator compartment. You can change the temperature display in Celsius / Fahrenheit, select the working intensity (max / eco), and the automatic battery control is also displayed. Unlike the budget model of the Hcalory automatic refrigerator, the Starwind Mainfrost M8 has a Bluetooth module in the controller and allows you to work with the app.
The Car Fridge Frizer app is available for iOS and Android. When started, the app searches for nearby refrigerators and determines the model (monitored refrigerator is displayed as “A1-Mainfrost M8”). It is convenient to control while driving a car, without access to the trunk. As you can see, the application has a graphic and symbolic display of the current temperature and available limits (from minus 20 to +20 degrees), you can set the car battery discharge control (H/M/L), lock the screen ( Lock), activate the eco mode.
In the car, the refrigerator is placed without any problems. The convenient design of the body (stretched) with comfort allows you to transport it in the trunk of a sedan / hatchback / crossover. Due to the mass and the pads on the legs, the refrigerator does not slip when it is moved.
An empty refrigerator can be carried only by the handles, it is more comfortable to carry a full one between two people. If you have a tall car, the cover can be fully opened; otherwise, the cover will rest against the roof of the passenger compartment.

To begin with, I will describe the interior space, divided into two chambers: a large chamber is equipped with a removable wire basket that allows all the products to be taken out together. A small chamber is located above the compressor unit and is used to store small products. In the large chamber there are recesses to fix 1.5 and 2.0 liter bottles in an upright position. Also in an upright position, the 1.5 and 2.0 liter bottles fit completely and allow the lid to be closed with a margin of free space. But “liar” bottles no longer fit, only one liter and less.
The wire basket holds 6 one and a half liter bottles at a time. It is more convenient to use the basket for other types of products (for example, transporting frozen meat from town or from the market).
If we consider a small container (0.33, 0.5, 0.6 l), then such bottles and cans stand upright in a small compartment and in any position in a large compartment. In total, in a vertical position, 9 and a half liter bottles and 15-16 small bottles and cans are placed in the refrigerator at the same time. And even in this case, there is free space in which you can put an additional 5-6 bottles lying down. And in this case, the refrigerator opens and closes silently.
I liked another helpful feature: the flat surface of the top deck, which can be used as a service desk for a small business. Ideal for a picnic or a fishing trip. For the same purpose, four cup holders are provided on the top lid.
As a result, we can say that drinks for the company are placed in the refrigerator for about a day. During all this time, the refrigerator can maintain any given temperature (the optimum for drinks is +5…+8 degrees), but it can also cool and freeze food.
Smartphone control via Bluetooth saves a lot of time, allowing you to quickly control the temperature inside the refrigerator compartment, turn the cooling mode on and off. The Starwind Mainfrost M8 automatic refrigerator is one of the few spacious and affordable models with Bluetooth control and simultaneous operation from 12V and 220V networks.
