Dr. from Cornell University Ornithology Laboratory. Wendy Erb and her colleagues studied the long calls of orangutans. These calls help monkeys communicate over long distances in dense forests.

Scientists recorded the sounds of 13 orangutans over three years. They then used machine learning to identify three types of audio signals in these calls.

A study has shown that orangutans communicate in a much more complex way than previously thought. They may have more sounds that we have not yet discovered.

According to the scientist, the results of the study will help us better understand how animals communicate.
