The user will be able to adjust the search parameters by humming the song or melody he needs, or even just with sounds. In this case, the melody can be played on the instrument.

To enable this feature, you need to click on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the YouTube Music app, then click on the waveform icon, which will appear next to the standard microphone icon when the new functionality comes into play. Clicking on the oscillogram icon will open a colorful search page where a smart algorithm will identify the track and generate search results.

The user can then play the song or save it to their library to listen to later.

As noted, the feature itself isn’t new: Similar functionality debuted in Google Search in 2020 and was incorporated into the main YouTube app in 2023.
