AI in the operating system should provide automation of management processes, optimization of data processing and improvement of user experience. The company did not provide further details about the project, only that it was in development.
According to market participants, Rostelecom may need about 3 billion rubles to develop its own AI. The best option, in their opinion, would be a partnership with Yandex or Sber, but experts also allow the option of state financing for an independent project.
It was previously reported that Rostelecom will launch the Consol venture fund with a volume of 8 billion rubles in 2024. In the expansion phase it will invest in Russian software developers. Priority areas are systems software, cloud and server solutions, services for business management, as well as AI and Internet of Things platforms.
