The US Department of Justice accused Adobe of making it difficult to cancel a paid subscription and hiding additional assemblies. The government was sued for this.
It is noted that Adobe connected users to “the most profitable tariff plan without clearly disclosing important terms of the plan.” We are talking about an annual tariff plan with monthly payment, where the conditions are written “in small print behind hidden fields and hyperlinks.”
However, the company may charge a fee for early cancellation of the subscription. In some cases this can cost dollars.
And if the user still agrees to cancel the subscription, then he must go through a complex process that includes election pages and a calling window. It is not possible to do this over the phone: calls are constantly dropped, and operators have to explain everything several times.
