Ilya Sutskever founded Safe Superintelligence with former Y Combinator partner Daniel Gross and former OpenAI engineer Daniel Levy. The company has already opened offices in Palo Alto (USA) and Tel Aviv (Israel). Investments in the startup are not disclosed.
The Bloomberg report said the company’s “special focus” will allow it to avoid being distracted by “administrative costs or product cycles.”
Ilya Sutskever left his position as chief scientist at developer ChatGPT in May. He worked at the company for almost ten years. Following his departure, the company disbanded its AI defense team.
