The production of Exeed VX cars will begin at the former Mercedes plant in Yesipovo near Moscow. Production will begin in July, and dealers will receive the first cars in August.
This will be contract manufacturing. In February 2025, the second model will hit the production line.
The Exeed brand belongs to Chery. The Chinese company received permission to produce Exeed VX and TXL crossovers in Russia.
The Mercedes plant is now owned by the Autohome dealer. The general director of the company, Andrei Olkhovsky, said that the plant is ready to produce not only Chery cars.
The number of participants is significantly larger than just the Chery group. We are ready to assemble under contract, if necessary, for the Chery group.

A trial batch of Exeed VX was assembled at the Mercedes plant back in January of this year to check mechanical reliability.
