As reported to Frank Media in the bank’s press service, the Maestro, Virtual and PRO100 debit cards will be withdrawn from circulation starting in July. Users will not be able to pay for purchases or withdraw cash. Card transactions will continue to be available, including credits and transfers to the account.

As Sberbank’s press service clarified, these cards and their terms of service are “long outdated.” In particular, they do not support contactless payments. Various Mir system privileges are also not available through them.

In connection with the changes, the bank recommends clients switch to the most current SberCard MIR.

Sberbank stopped issuing Maestro and Virtual cards in 2017, and the PRO100 card in 2016.
