The Lublinsky Court of Moscow suspends the operation of the “Kitchen in the District” service (LLC “LocalKitchen”) for 90 days. The decision was made after the mass poisoning of Russians caused by botulism infection.

On June 14, the first cases of hospital visits after eating salads with beans from Local Kitchen and Gastroport were recorded in Moscow.
Soon cases of poisoning began to be recorded in other cities. In total, more than 300 people suffered from poor quality nutrition. On June 24, a 21-year-old man died in a hospital in Kostroma.
The Investigative Committee opened a case on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The event was attended by the general director of Kitchen of the District Anton Lozin, as well as the head of the quality department Elena Mashkova and the director of the legume manufacturer Savon-K Vladimir Shin. They are all under house arrest. Another person involved in the case, chef Karim Normatov of Savon-K, was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
“The Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow complied with the requirements of the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of the city of Moscow in the South-Eastern Administrative District and suspended the activities of LocalKitchen LLC for 90 days,” says the Telegram channel “Courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.”
The lawsuit against LocalKitchen LLC was registered on June 19 and the protocol against the company was received at the Lublin court on June 24.
According to TASS, the company’s representatives requested a court hearing without access to the media. However, the court found no reason to hold it behind closed doors.
