The rating included a knee module for prosthetics, medicines for leukemia, ischemia, leukemia and cancer, marks for fixing the operated area during brain manipulation, etc.

The development of the Tomsk National Polytechnic University, a new chemical compound for the treatment of cancer, has become one of the most important patented inventions, notes TASS with reference to the original source.

It has low toxicity and does not accumulate in healthy tissues, so a lower dose of irradiation is required and the drug is less harmful to patients.

Among other patents noted by the department:

  • A remedy against skin aging due to ultraviolet radiation (includes vitamins, extracts of soy, sea buckthorn, turmeric, green tea, grapes and pomegranate, as well as sea urchin pigment; authors: employees of the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after GB Elyakov, Far Eastern branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences),
  • A modern knee module with pneumatic shock absorber and microprocessor for lower limb prosthesis (developed by the RPK company),
  • Test system for determining the type of influenza virus and vaccine recommendations (St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums),
  • Individual molecular monitoring system based on RNA expression levels in patients with leukemia (National Medical Research Center in Hematology of the Ministry of Health of Russia),
  • Stimulator of blood vessel growth thanks to a combination of DNA molecules for the treatment of ischemia (Angiolife LLC),
  • High-tech tags for fixing the operating area during brain surgery instead of standard fixators (Burdenko National Research Center of Neurosurgery),
  • New generation of blood glucose meters (Institute of Semiconductor Physics named after A.V. Rzhanov, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences),
  • Audio driver for the visually impaired based on sound-reflecting sensors (St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University),
  • And a soluble preparation containing biotin for babies (Promix company).
