The problem occurs when, after trying to reset the settings, the smartphone displays the following error: “Unable to load Android system. Your data may be damaged. If you continue to receive this message, you may need to perform a factory reset and delete all user data stored on this device.”

Attempts to reset or restart the device fail.

The error indicates that the tune2fs file, a Unix command used to tune file system parameters, is missing.

Some users have reported the issue after updating their devices, but most complaints are related to factory resets.

A member on the Reddit forum has collected all the complaints about this issue, which affects all three Pixel 6 models. Affected individuals claim that they are unable to restore their devices using official Google tools.

Google is already aware of the issue and is investigating it but has yet to provide an official comment or solution to users.
