Concern Rosenergoatom, part of the state corporation Rosatom, has begun transferring the system for supporting the operation of nuclear power plants from foreign software to the Russian Axiom platform. The project involves replacing all system components, including the Operational Dispatch Complex information systems, the Crisis Center and the automated control system. The system will initially be deployed at five leading nuclear power plants in Russia: Balakovo, Beloyarsk, Kola, Rostov and Smolensk.

Oleg Shalnov, Director of the IT Project and Integration Management Department of the concern, emphasized that the similarity of the methodologies and architectures of the new Axiom platform with IBM Maximo will significantly facilitate the transition for NPP employees when implementing the new system. The new system will cover all the main aspects of the operation of nuclear power plants, including operational operation, maintenance and repair of technical equipment, engineering support, resource and documentation management. More than 13 thousand users, including operating and maintenance personnel, will use this system.

The import substitution project involves the creation of a new hardware and software complex, the migration of the existing solution to a new platform and the expansion of system functionality. All work is carried out by Interprokom, with project management and expert support provided by Consist-OS JSC. The new system is planned to be fully operational at eleven Russian nuclear power plants, including a floating nuclear power plant, and at major Rosenergoatom hubs by the end of 2025.
