Merlion has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Golder Electronics, a well-known manufacturer of home appliances in Russia and the CIS countries. The deal, which was completed in Moscow on July 4, 2024, included well-known brands such as Vitek, Röndell, Maxwell and Coolfort.
Golder Electronics, known for its home appliances and kitchenware products, will bring “rich experience and a well-established market presence” to Merlion. The move is seen as a strategic move to strengthen Merlion’s position in the growing home appliances market, which analysts say is experiencing strong growth in Russia.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
