As two MPs told Vedomosti, the systems will initially be installed at the second and tenth entrances. The entrances are also equipped with special turnstiles.

In the future, the system will be expanded so that all MPs, as well as other employees working in the lower house of parliament, will have to take a photo at the pass office. If the employee’s photo is not in the database, the turnstile will not allow him to enter the building.

The new login system will be introduced gradually, the newspaper’s sources said. Initially, logging in using documents will continue to work.

At the same time, the newspaper’s interlocutor says that not everyone may like innovation. According to him, some people do not trust new technologies.

Earlier, the idea of introducing a facial recognition system at the entrances to the State Duma was voiced by the speaker of the lower house, Vyacheslav Volodin. He then also proposed using a biometric recognition system during voting on bills.
