These chips combine Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics with 16 execution units, and powerful XDNA 2 AI engines that deliver up to 55 TOPS.
Processors are no longer classified by TDP. Instead, laptop manufacturers can choose their own power configurations ranging from 15 to 54W. The standard TDP for Ryzen AI 300 processors is 28W.
The first reviews of the new processor series focus on the Asus Zenbook S16 laptop. It uses the 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with a frequency of up to 5.1 GHz and the Radeon 890M graphics based on RDNA 3.5.
Reviewers noted the high performance and energy efficiency of the processor, as well as its impressive AI performance, which significantly exceeds the competition.
However, the increase in integrated graphics performance compared to the previous generation was negligible, at around 12 percent on average.
The new processors are already available, with laptops starting at $1,399. More affordable configurations are expected to become available over time.
