WhatsApp is preparing a function that will protect you from spam from strangers. A recent update to the Beta version of the Android app found a privacy feature that allows: Block conversations from profiles that are not in your personal calendar.

Although the name of the feature suggests that WhatsApp will prevent you from receiving messages from an unknown number, that’s not exactly how it works. In fact, Messenger only blocks receiving messages if a stranger talks too much.
