Previously exclusive to AirPods and powered by H-series chips, this feature allows users to share a single audio stream between multiple pairs of headphones. Using Beats’ own processor instead of an H-series chip, Beats Studio Pros have traditionally been more compatible with Android devices. However, with a new firmware update, Beats Studio Pro now supports the same audio-sharing features as AirPods.
To take advantage of the new feature, users will need to update their firmware to version 2C301. Once installed, a “Share Audio” option will be available in the AirPlay sound panel. The firmware update will download and install automatically, but you can check your current firmware version by going to Settings ⇾ Bluetooth and selecting the Info button next to your Beats Studio Pro.
