4-H typically teaches kids practical skills in areas like farming, sewing and baking, but the new partnership with Apple will bring “cutting-edge technology” to the program.
At recent events like the Franklin County Fair in Ohio, 4-H showcased its expanded education program, where kids used iPads to program Sphero robots and Swift on a mobile learning bus, and they also worked on creative projects using GarageBand.
The media writes that Apple’s Community Education Initiative (CEI), launched in 2019, has played a key role in this transformation. The initiative has trained tens of thousands of students in programming and technology in more than 99 countries, including all 50 US states.
