It will be the first commercially available tri-fold smartphone, ahead of concept models like the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2. The Mate XT will be available in 16/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations and in two colours.
The Mate XT has a dual hinge and can be folded into a tablet-sized display. Interestingly, when opened, it is no thicker than 5 mm. When folded, the device turns into a normal smartphone.
The rear design is inspired by the Mate 60 RS, with an octagonal camera module and a stylish vegan leather finish.
Sales of the Mate XT will begin on September 20.
