Today, a smartphone is not just a piece of equipment, a thing that is always at hand. We use it for the following purposes: to call, send a message, watch a movie or take a photo. It is important that it does not slow down, takes good photos and holds a charge for at least a day.
When choosing a new smartphone, you want it to be convenient and not cause problems. No one likes to deal with glitches or constantly charge it.
And now I have the latest Infinix ZERO 40 in my hands, which seems to be one of those that you can take and not worry: it just works and looks stylish. Let’s figure out what’s remarkable about the device.
Surprisingly Good! Infinix Zero 30 5G Smartphone Review with 144Hz Display and 108MP Snapdragon 855
Briefly
The set is excellent, as usual
Style is always with you
There is a juicy AMOLED display here
Performance at its best
Shoots well. There is even a 2K video here.
It will last for a long time
Great smartphone for the money
The set is excellent, as usual
That’s all there is. Plus documentation and supporting elements.
Infinix never ceases to change its traditions and fulfills the packaging requirements for all models and even more. In the box we are greeted by:
► the smartphone itself
► 45W power adapter
► thick USB-A/USB-C charging cable
► branded case
► protective glass
As before, the kit here includes glass, not film, and a case.
A protective case. It is plastic and trimmed with eco-leather, made in the color of the case. It looks nice and is almost weightless. Special respect for the accessory.
What about your smartphone?

Style is always with you
Infinix Zero 40 has a sunny and sophisticated look. The delicate pink color of the case looks great both in real life and in photos. A good choice, thanks to the designers.
The thin and lightweight plastic body fits easily in your hand, and it doesn’t even slip, and does not collect fingerprints due to the matte coating (though the screen does not have an oleophobic coating, it shines). It is worth noting that the camera collects the first number of fingerprints. The smartphone has dimensions of 164.31 x 74.6 x 7.7 mm and weighs only 180 grams, which makes it convenient for everyday use.
The speakers here are quite loud.
The front panel is almost entirely occupied by a lamp with protruding frames, there is usually no chin. On the right, there is a power button and a light rocker, and on the left, there is nothing. On the hard end, there is a USB-C port for charging, a microphone, a SIM card slot, and a speaker. On top, there is another speaker and a microphone.
The back panel smoothly transitions into the camera block, which is built into the case and protrudes slightly. The cameras are placed in one neat block with ribbed letter outlines, which gives a thin look.

There is a juicy AMOLED display here
The smartphone has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, protected by durable Gorilla Glass 5th generation. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is already a standard for both Infinix and the industry as a whole.
The peak brightness reaches 1300 nitsthanks to which the most comfortable rest is achieved even in the brightest sun, flashes or highlights do not interfere. And this is taking into account the fact that the screen occupies 93.4% of the front panel area. The interference frequency reaches 1500 Hz.

Performance at its best
Not a bad result for a mid-budget device
The latest processor is responsible for the computing capabilities of the Infinix ZERO 40 4G MediaTek Helio G100 (8 cores, Arm Cortex-A76 overclocked to 2.2 GHz, Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics core), manufactured using a 6 nm process technology.
Yes, it is not a top-end chip, but it is quite good for mid-budget devices. And this chip will debut in Infinix smartphones.
A new processor requires new tests. Here’s what we got from our measurements:
• Geekbench 6 (single core mode): 712 points
• Geekbench 6 (multi-core mode): 2011 points
• AnTuTu: 414,867 points
Overall, these results are about 5% higher than the 2-year-old Helio G99. Not bad, but nothing special.
If we take the game, then with this smartphone you can comfortably get stuck in Call of Duty Mobile on medium-high resources, Genshin Impact gives about 40 FPS on the medium mode. In general, a normal result, which was expected.
These figures also allow for 8GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 16GB via storage. The built-in memory is now complete. 256 GBEnough for everything.

Shoots well. There is even a 2K video here.
The camera block is of considerable size
We all know how all Android manufacturers love to put cameras with billions of megapixels in their gadgets, but the image quality does not become particularly better. In the case of Infinix Zero 40 4G, the situation is different.
It shoots well during the day and is ok at low resolutions.
There are three cameras installed here: 108 MP (optical stabilization, phase autofocus), 50 MP ultra-wide-angle (Viewing angle 120 degrees) and an additional 2 MP for image modification.
There is no telephoto, there is a 3x digital zoom. But due to the large number of megapixels, the framing module is mostly adequate and the picture is not flooded with a large number of terrible pixels.
Example of a night photo. Overall, it’s okay for this budget.
This is how a smartphone copes with artificial lighting
But daytime photos are OK
There is no macro, but up close the photos turn out the same
Example video on a selfie camera:
There is also a powerful 50 MP selfie camera – ISOCELL JN1, 1/2.76 inch SENSOR, f/2.45, 5P lens.
The main design of ZERO 40 4G is the ability to shoot 2K 30 FPS video on both the main and front cameras. The far-angle viewing angle reaches 92 degrees.
In general, you can shoot videos/circles for social networks or just videos anywhere with maximum comfort.

It will last for a long time
The Infinix ZERO 40 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery.
In my experience, it is enough for 1.5-2 days of use When setting up the device, when setting up the screen and refresh rate of 120 Hz. And thanks to 45-watt fast charging, the smartphone charges from 0% to 60% in just 25 minutes. It will take a little less than an hour to fully recharge, maybe 45-50 minutes.
The device also features 10W reverse charging, which is enough for both smartphones and headphones.
Smartphone support 3 fast charging modes: smart, fast and low heat mode. In the latter case, it can withstand even extreme weather conditions from -20°C to 55°C. There is also bypass charging 2.0 (power goes directly to the motherboard) – the ability to not only extend the life of the smartphone battery, but also reduce its temperature by 5.6℃ while watching videos.

Great smartphone for the money
Infinix ZERO 40 4G costs 29,999 rubles in Russia.
Now the company has just launched it for sale, so the price has been temporarily reduced to 25,999 rubles, and this money is the gadget manufacturer’s from sales. It simply has no worthy analogues in this price segment.
We recommend that you take a closer look at this option.
