Avio’s decision was made despite the CBO affecting the stability of supply chains, especially on the Ukrainian side. The company said that RD-843 production continues uninterrupted and supplies are secured in the medium term from 2025 to 2027. However, Avio acknowledged the possibility of future disruptions.

Looking to the future, Avio is working on creating a new engine, the MPGE, which should replace the RD-843 in the future.
