The FAS said the agreement would not restrict competition because it affects different markets.

“All necessary government consents for the merger of companies have been received. As part of the transfer of shares, RVB LLC will become the owner of the legal entities of the Russ Group,” Wildberries’ press service said in a statement.

  • The market and outdoor advertising operator Russ announced the creation of RVB in late July and the completion of the merger in early August. Wildberries co-founder Tatyana Bakalchuk called the merger a “new stage of development” and promised to open new opportunities for partners and clients.
  • Together, the online marketplace and Russ plan to create “the ultimate digital trading platform.” The geography of the strategic project will cover Russia, the CIS countries, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, India and China (in total, more than 5.8 billion people).
  • Wildberries co-founder and Tatyana Bakalchuk’s husband Vladislav are trying to question the merger of companies. In particular, the businessman turned to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and together they accused Russ of “storming” the business. Tatyana explained her husband’s statements and what was happening with the divorce proceedings.
  • Earlier, on September 18, the market’s press service informed RB.RU that Vladislav had “attempted to illegally enter Wildberries’ Moscow office with armed guards.”
  • The incident ended in a shootout in which investigators say seven people were injured and two were killed.
  • On September 19, Vladislav’s lawyers told RB.RU that he had been detained for 48 hours and charged, among other things, with murder and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
