Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, as well as NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson, have left the International Space Station (ISS) and landed near the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan, according to a post on the Roscosmos Telegram channel.

Kononenko and Chub set two world records. They spent 374 days in space, which was the longest flight of the ISS program. In addition, Kononenko spent a total of 1,111 days in five flights, the most among earthlings.

During their work on the ISS, Russian cosmonauts conducted scientific and applied experiments, hosted a visiting expedition, four Progress MS cargo spacecraft, and also performed two spacewalks.

  • Kononenko and Chub arrived at the ISS on September 15, 2023.

  • On September 26, 2024, SpaceX will launch the Crew Dragon spacecraft with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov on board.
